Battle Box is a round-based PvP/CTO game on MCC Island, which was introduced in Patch 0.1.0 , with the release of the server.

An epic PvP-centric game - think capture the flag but in quick-fire rounds! Pick your specialist combat kit, unique to each map, and get ready for a fight! As a team of 4, battle it out against the other teams to fill a central capture point and win the game!
Gameplay
Battle Box is a round-based team game, which involves capturing a central objective of 9 concrete blocks before the other team. Each game consists of four teams of four facing off in three 1-minute rounds. The team with the most score at the end of the game wins.
In order to win a round, teams must either completely fill the capture point with their coloured concrete blocks, or have more blocks placed than the other team. Killing the opposing players is not required to win the round, but awards some score. If neither team places any blocks or the same amount of blocks are placed by each team at the end of the round, the round is declared a draw.
The capture point is locked for the first ten seconds of each round, meaning the concrete blocks can not be broken.
At the start of the game, players can choose one of five different kit types relating to a specific play style. Each kit provides players with items relating to that specific play style and changes depending on the map being played. Depending on the kit and the map that's being played, they can provide the player with weapons, potions, arrows, sparks or orbs. Players can also pick up items within the maps to offer even more versatility in combat.
Score is awarded as so:
45 for personal eliminations.
480 (120 for each team member) to the team that captures the objective, or has the most blocks in the objective.
Combat Items
Orbs
Orbs are similar to potions in that they apply effects when they're thrown, but they're unique in that they can be thrown much further and have a much larger radius. They also can have timed delays before applying their effect.

Orb Of Cleansing
Throw an orb that explodes on impact clearing all active potion effects off the affected enemies. You are affected if in the blast area!
Orb Of Regeneration II
Throw an orb that explodes on impact healing allies in the blast area for 4 over 2.4s. Effect heals you 50% less.

Sparks
Sparks are consumable items that apply potion effects upon use. They do not have a use-time, and activate immediately upon right-clicking. Sparks can only be used on the player holding them.

Kits
At the start of the game, players can choose one of five different kits. Each kit provides players with unique items, such as crossbows, potions and cobwebs, relating to that specific play style and changes depending on the map being played. Kits cannot be changed after the game starts, but the player's items refill after each round.
There are 7 kit types in Battle Box, each with different strengths and weaknesses. The main difference between each kit is its weapons. All kits contain infinite concrete blocks, Leather Boots, and an Efficiency II Iron Pickaxe.
Baller - Using your selection of orbs, control the battlefield with area effects! (Focused on orbs and defense)
Flanker - Dart behind the enemy and catch them off-guard using your agility! (Focused on speed and offense)
Gadgeteer - Never be unprepared with a special gadget for every occasion! (Focused on traps and placeables)
Healer - Keep yourself and your team in fighting shape to outlast the enemy! (Focused on support)
Scrapper - Hop into the fray and face your enemies head-on! (Focused on close-quarters)
Sharpshooter - Precision is your trademark; keep your distance and shoot them down! (Focused on range)
Trickster - Distract and disrupt the enemy with your stealth and tricks! (Focused on sneaking)
Each map contains a selection of five of these types. Additionally, they each have different default items, given to players regardless of their kit, and the same kit on different maps may contain slightly different items to account for the gameplay differences of each map.

Update History
(after MCC 4KO ) Introduced a new map, Spaceship.
Increased Island XP gained for both eliminations and rounds won.
Renamed “Short Timed Orb of Poison” to “Quick Timed Orb of Poison” to be consistent with other orbs.
Heavy Crossbows no longer have an extra cooldown after firing. They now handle the same as normal crossbows, however, they are still not off-handable and deal 4.5 damage instead of the standard crossbow's 3.5 damage. Removing the cooldown will allow you to use them together with normal bows better.
Reduced the Quick Charge enchantment by 2 on all Heavy Crossbow kits since the Heavy Crossbow has no additional cooldown now.
Reduced the damage applied by Short Timed Orbs of Poison slightly, from 5 to 4.
Introduced 2 new maps, Classic and Rig.

Made some changes to Paint Factory to remove some places you could hide by levitating.
Fixed an issue where spectators were teleported to the wrong matches.

Patched up a hole on Pipes that could let you escape the start cage early.

Gold Mine
Sharpshooter - Removed 6 Arrows.
Flanker - Added 6 Arrows.
Train Station
Sharpshooter - Removed Timed Orb of Harming, added Spark of Speed.
Blocked off the ceiling and some higher caves on Gold Mine.
Introduced a new map, Pipes.
Cleaned up some of the language surrounding winning rounds/games.
Disabled certain items such as orbs, and sparks during the pre-game to prevent players from accidentally using them.
In Canal, swords, bows, and crossbows, will now correctly be placed in the first and second slot of the hotbar.
(after MCC 28 ) Introduced a new limited-time map for Winter 2022 , Santa's Slay.
Added new health bars.
The blindness effect used in timed orbs of blindness now hides player names and health bars.
When you complete a round, if the other matchup is still happening, you will begin spectating the other team’s round.
Widened the stone bridge at the top of Gold Mine.

Players now get their last selected kit if they do not press confirm instead of a random one.
Players are no longer able to break their team's concrete blocks.
Health below names are now displayed correctly in rounds 2 and 3.
The capture point is now locked for the first 10 seconds of a round. Concrete cannot be broken until this expires.
Map Adjustments:
Paint Factory
Removed unnecessary cover in the capture point area to make it more open.
Raised capture point to provide better cover.
Expanded the lower defence.
Gold Mine
Closed up the centre of the upper tunnels, which are accessible using a spark of levitation.
The player icon on the boss bar and scoreboard are now coloured based on the team colour.
Team colour combinations tweaked to not be too similar to each other. (later tweaked again in 0.3.0 )
Introduced a new map, Gold Mine.
Reduced wait time between rounds (from 25 seconds to 15 seconds).
You can now only place concrete in the capture point.
An "objective failed" sound will now play when the enemy captures the capture point.
Adjustments to Quick Timed Orbs Of Blindness:
The radius of explosion has been slightly increased.
Weakened the reduction of the effect’s power when further away from center.
Adjustments to some kits:
Canal
Trickster - cobwebs increased from 3 to 5.
Paint Factory
Gadgeteer - gained 4 cobwebs.
Trickster - cobwebs replaced with a Spark Of Speed.
Train Station
Scrapper - removed Spark Of Regeneration II.
