Patch 0.31.2

Patch 0.31.2 was a minor patch, which brought a new map to Battle Box Arena, began Ranked Season 2, and adjusted many different combat items.

Battle Box Arena

New map: Cargo

A new Battle Box map for Arena, focused on defensive playstyles and flanking. As the game progresses players will unlock Kit Breaker options to reach the high ground which can be used to gain advantage on defending the objective. This map will be swapping with Train Station Unboxed which will return to the map pool in the near future.

Item adjustments

  • Detector Bottle of Ender This will now activate through walls but at a smaller radius (decrease from 16 → 6).
  • Protection Fixed a bug where breaking protection with a melee attack could produce a ridiculous amount of knockback.

Kit adjustments

  • Bastion Flanker - Buff This kit is meant to have most of its power from being able to fire multiple Poison Orbs throughout a round with the Flanker passive. The kit does this well but the Blindness Detector Bottle isn't particularly useful with the kit so we are giving it cobwebs instead to provide a stronger defensive playstyle.
  • Standard Baller - Buff This kit was expected to be very powerful, having multiple Area of Effect damaging orbs, however it is slightly under performing so we are giving it 2 extra arrows.
  • Bastion Spectre - Nerf This kit is particularly powerful as two Detector Bottles of Harming is very strong. We’d rather this kit keep its identity, as two Detector Bottles make for particularly interesting gameplay in spectre form, so instead to reduce the kit's power we are swapping the bow to a shortbow.
  • Bastion Sharpshooter - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing so we are reducing its arrow count by 2.
  • Escape Spectre - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing. As the other items in the kit are important to the playstyle of the kit, we are reducing the amount of arrows to 4.
  • Dual Bow Flanker - Buff This kit is slightly under performing. To give it a slight buff and more agency in sharing it’s speed effects, we are giving it a Spark of Speed.
  • Jumpscare Spectre - Nerf This kit is over performing and with little room to reduce this kits power without removing its identity we are removing a Hovering Spark.
  • Standard Spectre - Nerf This kit is over performing. We’d like to keep the Rejuvenation Splash Potion as it is interesting for spectre form gameplay. For now we are removing the Speed Spark so it keeps its unique movement option with the Ender Spark.
  • Scout Healer - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing, so we are reducing the arrow count by 2.
  • Rapid Bow Scrapper - Nerf This kit is over performing so we are reducing the arrow count by 4.
  • Multishot Sharpshooter - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing so we are reducing the arrow count by 1.
  • Multishot Trickster - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing so we are reducing the arrow count by 1.
  • TNT Gadgeteer - Buff This kit is slightly under performing. When thinking about how best to buff it, we thought an extra TNT would be the most interesting as this will allow one free use of TNT while retaining enough for a TNT cannon.
  • Oportune Gadgeteer - Buff This kit is slightly under performing so we are increasing the arrow count by 2.
  • Launch Spectre - Nerf Surprising to many this kit is over performing. To reduce its power a bit we are removing a Spark of Speed which will make it harder for this kit to catch opponents.
  • Seek Healer - Nerf This kit is slightly over performing so we are reducing the arrow count by 2.

Changes & Bugfixes

  • Increased the radius of Orbs, Quick Timed Orbs and Timed Orbs. The intention with this change is to make these items easier to hit so they are more reliable for everyone to use. This will help focus more of the skill on deciding the perfect moment to use these items. Generally most orbs have these new radiuses apart from pre-existing orbs that had larger radiuses beforehand (like Cleansing Orbs).
    • Orbs: 4 → 5.
    • Quick Timed Orbs: 5 → 6.
    • Timed Orbs: 7 → 8.5.
  • Added a new plobby setting that controls whether scores are shown in the scoreboard and TAB list, allowing plobby tournaments to view & show scores of all players/teams in Sky Battle, Parkour Warrior Survivor and Rocket Spleef.
  • Tab list now shows assists in games with assists.
  • Parkour Warrior Survivor and Rocket Spleef Rush now no longer show score in TAB, instead they only shows elimination ordered placements. Both games already decided the winner based on the last alive player, score is not taken into consideration.
  • Rocket Spleef Rush now shows kills in TAB.
  • Fixed issue where TAB would stop updating after relogging in certain games.
  • Fixed medal count shown in name tags in PW Dojo being incorrect.
  • Fixed TGTTOS modifier items having no item lores.
  • Fixed idle animation for Blossom Machine not playing.
  • Cloaks are now hidden like other cosmetics when a player is invisible, like during races.
